The proposed development
The proposal will renew the urban environment found within Stack and Amherst Street by providing high-quality residential development. It will promote a new public realm within the industrial sector of the area and cater for a growing demographic within Fremantle.
The built form will seek to adopt specific examples of good design and materiality to blend into its surroundings while renewing the streetscape through its contemporary aesthetic. The provision of a mix of one & two bedroom apartments and three & four bedroom townhouses will demonstrate a push to focus on quality yet affordable housing to develop the demographic within Fremantle.
The project site
With the site’s proximity to the Fremantle town centre, the development is envisioned as a unique chance to produce a new standard of living and affordability with conditions that suit medium density residential housing. The proposal represents an exciting opportunity to create a strong benchmark for future developments in neighboring areas while respecting the current context.
Engagement process
Our engagement process is now complete. We had an excellent turnout to our engagement sessions and everyone who participated has guided and informed the creation of our proposed development, which we are very grateful for. Our consultant team is now finalising our development application, which will be submitted to the relevant authorities shortly. Once submitted, it will be released for public comment before a final determination is made. Development of the site will only commence once all approvals are secured, which will be during 2024 at the earliest.
